Staterooms

Edge Stateroom with Infinite Veranda: E2

Edge Stateroom with Infinite Veranda: E2

Stateroom Type: Balcony

These incredible staterooms take our standard veranda stateroom and, with the touch of a button, blur—even erase—the boundaries between inside and outside living space. Your entire living space becomes the veranda, letting you walk right out to the water’s edge. This brilliant innovation gives you luxurious open air access to the sea, whenever you wish. Edge series staterooms offer the latest technology that allows you to precisely adjust nearly every comfort feature in your stateroom. The in-room automation allows you to control everything from lighting, to shades, to temperature, and service with a simple touch screen. You can even choose a setting that will tuck you in and gently wake you in the morning. It’s world-class service at the touch of a button. Not only do these staterooms feature the latest in design and technology, but they’re even more spacious. In fact, they’re 23% larger than our award-winning Celebrity Solstice® Class veranda staterooms. The added space allowed us to include a luxurious king-sized bed from our new Cashmere Bedding Collection™. Bigger rooms called for larger bathrooms, too. So, we expanded them almost 20% and included even larger modern showers.Your personal veranda lets you greet the day, enjoy fresh sea breezes, and soak in breathtaking sunsets.

Infinite Verandas on Edge Series

The most transformational aspect of our stateroom design is the introduction of the Edge Stateroom with Infinite Veranda®, where with the touch of a button, your entire living space becomes the veranda, letting you walk right out to the water’s edge. These staterooms feature the latest in design and technology, and they’re 23% larger than our award-winning Solstice® Series veranda staterooms.

170 possible options of connecting staterooms make it easier than ever for families and friends to connect at sea. Combine two adjoining Edge Staterooms with Infinite Verandas to become one. Or connect the Edge Single Stateroom with Infinite Veranda, with a Deluxe Porthole View with Veranda, to create the perfect space for an accompanying grandparent, nanny, or in-law.

Another first for us: 99% of the staterooms on Celebrity Edge® have king-size beds featuring Celebrity eXhale® bedding and Cashmere℠ Mattresses.

Ports of Call

Southampton (Days 1, 15)

Explore the charms of Englands third-largest seaport. Explore Southamptons archaeological sights - modern Southampton is built on the ruins of ancient Roman and Saxon ports.
Attractions & Activities
Visit the Southampton Maritime Museum, which chronicles the history of Southampton and its significant role as a port for ocean liners, the most famous being the Titanic. Not to be missed is the exhibit "Titanic Voices," where visitors can hear the story of the tragic voyage in the words of survivors and those touched by the tragedy.

Haugesund (Day 3)

Haugesund is a town and municipality in the county of Rogaland, Norway. The town is the main population centre of the Haugaland and northern Rogaland area

Flam (Day 4)

Located along the dramatic Aurlandfjord, the fruit growing region near Flam presents the incongruous sight of orchards and snow-capped peaks. Ride an electric railway into the mountains for breathtaking vistas.

Attractions & Activities

Discover the Flåm Railway - an incredible train journey from the mountain station at Myrdal on the Bergen Railway, down to Flåm station nestled in the innermost corner of the Aurlandfjord.

Olden (Day 5)

Situated along the innermost arm of the Nordfjord, this picturesque village of western Norway is surrounded by some of Scandinavia´s most captivating scenery. Here lies the largest glacier in all of Europe, the Jostedal, towering nearly 6,200 feet over a deep valley. The green fields, serene lakes and cascading falls of this region are simply breathtaking.
Attractions & Activities
Jostedalsbreen National Park covers an area of 1,310 square kilometres. Jostedalsbreen is the biggest glacier in mainland Europe. The national park also contains many other large and small glaciers.

Arctic Circle (cruising) (Days 6, 9)

The Arctic Ocean is the centerpiece of the Circumpolar North. Lands bordering this region include those of Alaska, Canada, Greenland/Denmark, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Russia. Throughout this immense area, economic developers search for oil, gas, zinc, silver, coal, and similar marketable products. In Alaska, especially, a major problem restricting this development is land withdrawal - millions of acres having been set aside for national or regional parks, military reserves, forests, wildlife refuges, and wilderness areas.

Tromso, Norway (Day 7)

Honningsvag (Day 8)

Norways northern-most settlement is the picturesque fishing village of Honningsvag. Cross the empty expanse of Arctic tundra to the North Cape. There you will stand atop a a 1,000-foot sheer granite cliff at the literal European end of the earth.
Attractions & Activities
Almost all visitors to this area come specifically to visit the North Cape. While in Honningsvag, you might enjoy the Nordkapphuset, where the museum features interesting displays depicting the local history and culture.

Molde (Day 10)

Molde enjoys, as a beautiful backdrop, the mighty range of the snow-capped Romsdal Mountains. These peaks provide for an unusually temperate climate, in fact mild enough to have earned Molde the title of "City of Roses." This climate, warmed by the distant Gulf Stream, also accounts for Molde's popularity as a tourist destination for the last 100 years. Apart from this gorgeous setting, Molde offers attractive parks and gardens.
Attractions & Activities
In town, favorite attractions include the 1960s Town Hall and the Molde Cathedral which was constructed in the 1950s. Some famous former citizens of Molde include the Norwegian dramatist, Henrik Ibsen. He was considered probably the country's most influential figure in modern theater. Bjornstjerne Bjornsone was also a citizen of Molde. Though most famous in Scandinavia, this Norwegian writer is revered around the world as the seminal figure of 19th-century Norwegian literature. Your day ashore should be quite delightful. Have your cameras at the ready.

Alesund (Day 11)

The coastal town of Alesund is the commercial capital of the More og Romsdal district. But more important, it is noted for its characteristic Jugendstil (Art Nouveau) buildings, which some claim make Alesund one of the most beautiful towns in Norway. Today, narrow streets are crammed with buildings topped with turrets, spires and gables that bear decorations of dragonheads and curlicues. As one of the few remaining Art Nouveau towns in the world, in 1998 Alesund was awarded the coveted Houens National Memorial Prize for the preservation of its unique architecture.

Geiranger (Day 12)

A cruising destination for nearly 100 years, Geirangerfjord offers one of Norways most breathtaking combinations of massive mountains, towering waterfalls and scenic waterways. In Geiranger, farmers work along narrow mountain ledges, oblivious to the heights.

Zeebrugge (Day 14)

Belgium´s medieval port of Zeebrugge leads the way to Bruges, the capital of the Belgian province of West Flanders. As you walk around this city of bridges and canals, you will be captivated by the dignity of the Gothic architecture and the unpretentious display of works of art.
Attractions & Activities
Zeebrugge is a portal to the many facets of Belgium, the dazzling diamonds of Antwerp, the romance of Bruges' intricate canals, the medieval marvels of Ghent, and most importantly, the divine, the sublime - the chocolate!
